The Basics of Hashing on Oahu: The Aloha Hash House Harriers run year-round . We usually meet at 3 PM, but it can vary according to the whim of the hares. Bring a whistle, rainbow, drinking vessel, and a $7 bill (adults) or a $5 bill (ages 10 thru 20). On the first Saturday of every month we strive to have a strollerable (is that a word?) family trail in addition to our regular trail. There may also be family trails on other Saturdays at the discretion of the hare(s). Before bringing your keiki or your dog, though, be sure to check with the hares regarding the terrain. Hashers also meet to celebrate Pau Hana every Wednesday and Friday evening. There is also the Burnt Rubber (motorcycle) hash with motorcycle rides quarterly. Don't forget the Hawaii Full Moon (guess when they meet) Hash House Harriers, too! There's also the Honolulu Hawaii H3 which meets every Tuesday evening. And the Oahu Pick Up H3, which meets on the first Thursday evening of every month for a pick up hash (hare determined by lottery). And also the Kukini Nui H3, which meets on the last Thursday evening of every month for a pick up hash. The Life's A Beach (It's Awesome) H3 meets some Sunday afternoons. Oahu's newest kennel, the Harriettes of Oahu H3, is a women's hash that meets once a month. If you're planning a trip to the Big Island, check out the Kona Coast Hash House Harriers website. The meeting place and time of most Oahu (Honolulu County) hash events can also be obtained by phoning 948-HASH. If you have any updates for this page, please email or phone her at 351-5634.
